Genine Carvalheira (USA/COL)

President
Genine is an Interior and Industrial Designer and Urban Sketcher. She’s lived in New York and Toronto and currently lives in Bogota, Colombia. She attended her first symposium in 2010 and has participated in eight so far. Her volunteer experience for USk started on the Membership Committee from 2013-2015. In 2020 she became the Vice President and Membership Director. Her new role as President started January 2022.

Patrick Ng (SG)

Vice President
Patrick is an artist from Singapore and his favourite media is ink and watercolor. He is a key leader in Urban Sketchers Singapore (USkSG), the local chapter of a large international community of artists passionate about on-location sketching. Besides sketching, he finds tremendous joy in building community and fostering relationships among people who share similar interests and passions – and Urban Sketchers is definitely one such community!

Kris Mordacai (USA)

Treasurer
Kris Mordecai is an artist and an operations and finance professional with over 10 years of experience in nonprofit management, administration, and organizational leadership for progressive social change. Kris currently serves as the Director of Finance and Operations at the New York City Anti-Violence Project. When he’s not engaged in social advocacy, Kris is an active urban sketcher and oil painter.

Eric Ngan (NZ)

Events Director
Eric Ngan has been drawing ever since he could hold a pencil, and is a co-founder of Urban Sketchers Auckland. Their regular monthly sketch sessions have been going since 2012. He has a 25 year career as an Event Professional working on arts and cultural festivals and major events in New Zealand.

Rita Sabler (USA)

Education Director
Drawing is Rita’s therapy, her passion, and her refuge. She teaches at the Pacific Northwest College of Art and when not sketching or teaching she is a busy designer, parent, and a tango pianist. She has presented numerous lectures and workshops on drawing inspiring diverse audiences to cultivate a lifelong passion for urban sketching. Rita has been the USk Education Director since 2019.

Maria Regina Tuazon (DE)

Communications Director
Maria started urban sketching in Singapore where she experienced her first Symposium, which inspired her to volunteer with the Symposium Team thereafter. She draws by hand to slow down, remember more and balance her digital work life. With a demonstrated history with the global creative media industry, she enjoys collaborating with various communities from diverse cultures and walks of life. Her love for the arts, education and meaningful causes keeps her in perfect tune.

Mohan Banerji (UK)

Sponsorship Director
Mohan Is a passionate urban sketcher, and a self-taught Full Exhibiting Member of the Reading Guild of Artists and the Wokingham Arts Society. Born in India, he worked across Europe, Hong Kong, Australia, and happily settled in the UK. He joined USk London in March 2016, and co-founded USk Reading in 2018. He was the European Sponsorship Coordinator in 2018, then joined the USk Executive Board as Sponsorship Director in 2020. In his words: “I love it!”

Annette Morris (FR)

Secretary
Annette is a British artist living in southern France. She is the founder of USk Languedoc – a multinational multilingual chapter within the USk family.  In addition to exhibiting her work, Annette also runs online sketch classes plus workshops and sketching holidays in France.  She is passionate about bringing people together who share a common interest, and believes that in becoming an active member of USk herself she finally ‘found her tribe’.
