Namdaemun(Sungnyemun), National Treasure No.1, was built in 1398. It served as the gate through the fortress walls surrounding the downtown Seoul. Moreover it is one of the most recognized landmarks in Korea. Nearby is Namdaemun Market, Korea’s largest and most prominent conventional open market. Also within walking distance are lots of modern cultural heritages and tourist attractions. On the 41th World Wide Sketchcrawl, It was fine weather for sketching, I sketched around Namdaemun with Seoul urban sketchers pleasantly.
