41st Worldwide Sketchcrawl: Los Angeles + Big Draw LA

Los Angeles sketchcrawl group met at Pasadena City Hall on an unseasonal hot day with clear skies. This was a special sketchcrawl with more people than usual since this event was in collaboration with with Big Draw LA, which coordinates drawing events around town during the month of October. I am delighted to see so many people – some who came from quite far away – chatting about art with each other and sketching together.

I used Pentel Slicci gel pen (one of the sponsor gifts from the Symposium) to do an underdrawing:

I finished up the sketch quickly after the shade shifted and I started to be under the boiling sun. The leaves on the tree are turning a little yellow, to give it a touch of autumn feeling.
