When it’s cold and rainy I like to remind myself of how nice the weather is in the Pacific Northwest during the summer. Last July we took a trip on the train from Seattle to Portland. On the top sketch you can see Powell’s bookstore, which takes a whole city block and claims to be the ‘world’s largest bookstore’. The bottom sketch is the fountain at Salmon Street. My son had a blast running through the sprinklers.
