Urban Sprawl…once a pasture

Urban Sprawl

Once upon a time, only a year or so ago, the neighborhood above was a pasture at the edge of Liberty, Missouri. Now I sat in the parking lot of a brand new shopping center and sketched a brand new neighborhood! I liked the shapes and shadows, but I’ll admit I mourn the ugly sprawl, particularly when there are older homes and businesses going to wrack and ruin that could be utilized. I prefer recycling those, too!

The people below were more of my parking lot sketches…not much to see at Wally World but more cars and the occasional walker. I work fast!
