Summer begins in Kandern

Here are a few scenes from this last week in Kandern. (click to enlarge) The weather was perfect, so I was able to get outside quite a bit. Top left shows the “Blumenplatz,” from Saturday morning. This is the center of town. Top right shows one of the older houses on the main street on Monday morning, the holiday. Bottom left I sketched today after saying goodbye to my students for the summer. It’s a house across the street from the German high school. Bottom right was done sitting in my car at the top of the hill last week. A few more days of sketching in Kandern before we head off to California for the summer.
