Priming the pump for 2010

It’s a custom in some parts to spend the first day of the new year doing things you’d like to accomplish in the year to come. Posting today these last sketches of my December Norwegian coastal voyage is my way of making sure/hoping I’ll be able to go back in December 2010!
I notice, after the fact, that everyone in these sketches looks very contemplative and self-contained. I felt at the time that the people around me were relaxed and friendly. Maybe, in Norway in December, those states of being are one and the same.
May the new year be full of adventure for all of us!
