Happy New Year from Australia!

Happy New Year everyone! Hope 2010 is a good year with lots of sketching!
I have just got back from a week visiting a friend at Port Macquarie – 4 hours drive north of Sydney. It rained a lot and I didn’t even get to the beach once – but I am not complaining – we did lots of eating out, including a high tea. I am rather embarrassed by the content of my sketchbook – this sketching is one of the more healthy food sketches.

Before Christmas I went into the centre of Sydney to do some architecture sketching. I tried to find the building which was most like Paris – the Sydney Town Hall was the perfect building. I should really do this more often!

Next week I am going away for another week to a beach town – so hopefully I will have something other than cake and tea sketches to share! Hope everyone in winter is surviving the cold!
