Last Saturday, I went to Memorial da América Latina, which is a civic center and cultural complex, built during the eighties by the best known Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. There are seven different buildings, each one with its particular architectural features. The complex is very beautiful and interesting and it is one of Sao Paulo’s landmarks.
Saturday was very hot here in Sao Paulo, but cloudy.
The hand sculpture was design by Niemeyer, and shows a map of Latin America, in red blood, due to the poverty and suffering related to Latin America’s past. (or present?)
