San Antonio and Seguin, Texas

I’ve been taking a pad of Bristol paper with me to draw rather than my usual Moleskine, and the extra space has encouraged me to sit and compose longer.

The Aumont building below is in Seguin, Texas, a small town very close to San Antonio that I had never visited before. I sketched across the street beneath a tall pecan tree — appropriate as Seguin is known as the pecan capital of Texas.

I sketched this scene of the Vidorra apartments in San Antonio from inside my truck just before dusk, and took it home to finish the bricks and windows later.
