peace and quiet in pacific grove

pacific grove house
What better after a busy Symposium than to take a short break by the peaceful ocean and put the sketchbook away for a few days? Well, to take a break by the ocean and sketch non-stop, of course! For us, Monterey is the place – or Pacific Grove, to be precise. We stayed in a cute little house not far from the seashore, and one morning I got up, sat on the porch with a cup of tea and sketched the big old house opposite. Pacific Grove is full of these wooden houses, and I could spend months drawing every single one.
Here’s another one in fact: the Centrela hotel.
