Pacific Grove, Lover's Point Beacha mermaid at pacific grove
I do love to be beside the seaside. I do love to be beside the sea. Pacific Grove, California, in particular. Above, my son playing on the sand at Lover’s Point, and a Mermaid that was sitting outside a boutique on Lighthouse Avenue. I can’t speak Mermaid, so I went back to the beach with bucket and spade (or shovel and pail as they say here). Having just spent several days hanging out and sketching with architects, I took to my task of building sandcastles in a highly practical manner. Needless to say, the sea won in the end.
I sketched the below using water from the ocean itself. Summer can be very foggy in coastal Northern California. Foggy, but very nice.
