Jaipur impressions

Amber fort, Jaipur Jaipur India, some impressions. Above a sketch of one of the inner courtyards of the the Amber fort, a beautiful castle on a mountain ridge overlooking the pink city of Jaipur. You can reach this palace on the back of elephants. It’s a bit a tourist thing but funny nontheless. Below a sketch of the Indian doorman of our hotel, called Pooran. Not someone to mess with. And in the middle one of the main transport means in India, camels.

I really liked Jaipur, a beautiful city, lively, and more colourful than most of the other cities we saw in India.

We even went to a Bollywood movie in a candy coloured movietheatre. That was fun, and although we could not follow the tongue it was not difficult to follow the plot. And every half hour the story would suddenly introduce a song, music and a “saturday night fever” kind of group dance. Curious.
