Last week-end, Gérard, Arno, Adrian and I, we spent some wonderful days along the river Rhine, between the cities of Koblenz and Mayence.
This part of the Rhine is called “Upper Middle Rhine Valley” and, since 2002, part of Unesco World Heritage. The Rhine here is surrounded by loads of castles and chateaus on the hills, beautiful villages along watersides and vineyards in between, where the cultural-historical era of romanticism culminated in Germany.
The characteristic Pfalz was – of course – one of our drawing spots. Here’s four alternative versions of it:
