sketcher and watcher

 Meeting other sketchers before the start of the Symposium was a pleasure and here they were sketching at La Pedrera I couldn’t help being fascinated by this men eating its sandwich and holding his phone amazed by Paul’s drawing. I was almost expecting him to take a bite from his phone.

Mariana’s and Ea’s workshop

 Being an interpreter ( at Eduardo’s workshop, great sketches but I’ll wait till I get back home to my scanner) I managed to assist to a few workshop’s and I couldn’t miss Ea’s and Marina’s at the Boqueria, one of the most beautiful market in Barcelona and full of memories from my childhood when I used to stay with my maternal grandparents.

 The girls made it really difficult for me so used to line work in the last years to use water color stains and use watercolor pencils over the wet paper, it was so hot in Barcelona that the paper was drying at incredible speed.

 As you all know I’m a lot more into sketching people than buildings, I do make an effort for buildings but they leave me cold. On my way to the Arco de Triunfo I saw this old lady fast asleep by the window of this beautiful  Children’s shop. A policewoman was near by checking if all the parked cars had payed for the parking and people went by. Will robbers steal from her ? Is she molested by others? That’s mthe kind of questions I pose myself .

I arrived late for the photo but it was amazing to see all the people that were there at the Arco de Triunfo sketching. Happy I made it to Barcelona and what an amazing experience it was, thanks to all that worked hard to make it happen.
