Small & ugly dog

by Inma Serrano, Sevilla (Spain)

I often draw things that people use to describe as “ugly” or “unimportant” because I probably could make sketches often better than the reality, and it is a way to avoid the fear of doing a ridicule drawing…

This dog I tried to sketch this morning in the street looked like a rat and moved so much that I could only do something similar to what it was.

It was really ugly itself so I did not have to worry about “look cool”.

But I think, at the end, I like the result in the double-page, don´t you?

Happy new year from Spain, year full of drawing everywhere!
