My Brazil Sketchbooks

 By Liz Steel, in Brazil

When I saw Marc and Gabi’s posts last week of a few Brazil sketches that hadn’t been scanned, I suddenly realised I never got around to finishing my posting on my Brazil trip. So here are my sketchbooks (I filled 3 x A4 moleskines of them) in one!

It seems like a long time ago but when I (digitally) flick through these pages it all comes back to me. This sketchbook includes a lot of working pages including scribbled notes from workshops and many very quick sketches. As much as I love posting my sketches as individual images and writing about them one by one, I feel that the best way to understand a single piece is to see it in the context of a whole sketchbook and the narrative that I am creating page after page, because after all, that is what I am trying to create!

If you are interested in reading more about these sketches I did a summary of all my detailed posts here on my blog.
