Sketches at Aqua Planet Ilsan

[by Byung Hwa Yoo, Ilsan city, Korea]

Last year I visited the aquarium located not far from Seoul. I bought one year ticket for frequent sketching. I went there several times since June. During semester season it was crowded with kindergarten kids. And I had to wait for long in holiday season by the family visitors.

Because there were various kinds of animals and the indoor sketching was possible I used to go in hot days often. Dark inside and moving creatures was difficult points for sketching. I used conte, pastels, watercolors, pen, pencil, etc on A 4 papers usually.

There was shows of fairy stories by swimmers.

In summer day two leopards were playing with tube. One was really excited with the playing with it by himself. But the other one was not. He(she) seemed to dislike water. Their tendency for water was similar to human being.
