Daniel grew up drawing in a small town in Minnesota, USA. He started plein aire watercolor sketching in earnest while bicycling across the USA. His studio work draws from his travel experiences both near and far with an interest in landscapes, machinery and architecture from unique perspectives. He is a signature member of the Minnesota Water Color Society and has received multiple awards and recognition for his paintings. He holds a B.Arch from North Dakota State University and has worked in Minneapolis as an architect for 19 years.
