Workshop Instructor: Mike Daikubara, Boston (United States)

Mike Daikubara is a practicing Industrial Designer & Graphics Designer with over 20 years of experience and is also the Boston Correspondent for the international website Urbansketchers.org.

He first started sketching frequently in 2000 to be able to communicate faster and better in his Design day Job and now 16 years later, he still sketches daily but now more for enjoyment which is actually closer to an obsession!

Born in Tokyo Japan and raised in New York City, Mike moved across the US due to his various design jobs. He has lived in California, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and currently resides in Massachusetts.

Addicted to learning new things, he has a Bachelors in Comparative Culture from Sophia University (Tokyo), a Bachelors in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute (New York City), an MBA from Marquette University (Milwaukee) and is midway working on his Masters of Graphics Design from Academy of Arts University (San Francisco)

He’s super excited to be able to teach some of his sketching approaches at the USk Manchester symposium.
