Lynne has worked as a freelance illustrator for 30 years. She has 35 published picture books and in 2015 released a Craftsy class on children’s illustration. She has been Urban Sketchers Correspondent in Sheffield since 2008 and has been leading Urban Sketchers Yorkshire since 2010, which has a 350-strong membership and meets monthly. She has been giving lectures and running drawing workshops for 15 years, working with children and adults all over the world. Lynne taught workshops at Usk symposiums in Barcelona, Santo Domingo and Paraty. She will be spending a week working with children in Beijing in September 2016.
Lynne has been Artist-in-Residence at the Morgan Centre (University of Manchester) throughout this academic year, working with Sociology researchers and the work is being exhibited during the symposium at Z-arts gallery in Manchester. Lynne’s book ‘Sketching People’ was published this year (with Barrons in US; Search Press in UK; One Page in Singapore). She was a contributor to ‘The Art of Urban Sketching’ (Quarry Books 2012), ‘Archisketcher’ (RotoVision 2015) and ‘Creative Sketching Workshop’ (RotoVision 2015). Lynne is based in Sheffield, in the north of England.
