Hello Sketch NOW think later (W16) Symposium workshop participants:
I wanted to send out a quick note to the people that have signed up for my workshop in July.
First of all, thank you! I’m super excited to have the privilege to teach at this year’s symposium.
2nd: just last week I was in Chicago for business and also had a chance
to do a dry run of what I’m going to be teaching: and the sketch was
super fun to do! I cannot give out the details yet but the location that
was selected with the help from Alex Zonis turned out to be amazing,
and the subjects to sketch just as amazing.
I thought the poster I saw at the Chicago Architecture Foundation (http://www.architecture.org/)
just 1 block from our central meeting spot summarized my workshop well.
The 2 arrows points to the 2 subjects we’ll be sketching: We’re
basically going to capture the top 2 best of Chicago all in 1 sketch!
Here is what I would like to ask for:
- Please wear comfortable shoes.
The
walk to the sketching location is a scenic, minimal traffic/people and
an easy flat ground walk but it will take about 20 minutes (1 mile/ 1.6
km). - Please bring $4.
One of our subjects will be the
Chicago Style Hotdog. If you’ve never had it, you’ll be in for a treat!
The place also has low fat Turkey and vegetarian versions of the hot dog
too. You’re welcome to buy 1 dog and share the ‘subject’ with another
person too 😄
That’s it!
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
Looking forward to meeting everyone in July!
Thanks
miked
P.S.
– I just spoke with the Hot Dog stand owner and she was excited with
our event! she mentioned she would give us a special discount so stay
tuned for the info!
