One month in Florence with a pocket sketchbook (3)

[by Javier de Blas in Florence, Italy] Nov. 8th. Michaelangelo´s Park is on the top of a hill from where you see a splendid round panoramic of town and surrounds. On a terrace bellow me, there is this DJ with his laptop, playing envlving jazz and local songs. I start drawing the city but too many people are coming to listen to the music. I feel uncomfortable and I don´t like the drawing. I move to the oposit side where there is a beautiful view of the east side of Florence, with beautiful autum colors and a bright blue river Arno. After that I feel more sedated and record the Duomo (I like very much the extreme contrast between the campanello and the dome). Also the sinagoga with its featured dome in manigua green. Then a rough note of Santa Croce on the left from Duomo.

Down the hill we visit a very intersting engraving atelier called Il Bisonte, wich was founded as a resistance print atelier during the 2nd world war and important artists like Picasso or Henry Moore came for some of their projects.
