Searching for old world charm in Laos.

Sketches from Laos
Sketches from Laos

[By Paul Wang in Laos, Singapore] Laos is a neighbouring country that I know very little about. I only know its old ancient capital used to be Luang Prabang and its new capital is Vientiane. It is only a 3hour flight from Singapore to Laos so I decided to go on an adventure and spent my one week Christmas break in Vientiane and Luang Prabang. The biggest advantage to go in December is the lovely cold and dry weather. No fear of torrential rain which is always prevalent at the end of the year in Southeast Asia. Luang Prabang is a UNESCO town and full of old world french-colonial influence. Perfect subjects for my travel journal and sketchbook expedition. So come along and follow me vicariously through my sketches and photos.
