Urban Sketchers is on the lookout for a Volunteer Coordinator to play a key role in supporting our vibrant community of volunteers. If you’re passionate about urban sketching and thrive in creating a welcoming environment, we’d love to have you on board!
Role & Responsibilities:
- Work with the Executive Board to identify committee and organizations volunteer needs
- Maintain a comprehensive database of volunteers, keeping track of their skills, availability, and interests.
- Regularly connect with volunteers to gauge their experiences, address concerns, and ensure a positive engagement.
- Actively seek out and recruit new volunteers to expand and diversify our community.
Qualifications:
- An active Urban Sketcher
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with volunteers and build positive relationships.
- Ability to manage and update volunteer databases efficiently.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere for volunteers.
- Initiative and creativity in identifying opportunities to attract and onboard new volunteers.
- Experience in a human resources role or other voluntary position is desirable.
