Between Suburb and City

In 2021 I moved to the outskirts of London – to the borough of Enfield – where 1930s suburban streets and the old industrial district sit side by side.

It’s a part of the city that often feels in-between: almost in, almost out.

There’s a strange stillness in these in-between spaces and they’ve become a meaningful part of my London sketchbook.
