This week on the drawing course we spent the morning backstage at the Royal Opera House, drawing a fight class and vocalist rehearsals. At least the vocalists stayed more or less in one place. The fight class was tough drawing!
Vocal rehearsals allowed more time – it was just hard to stop drifting off into the music…
In the afternoon I made a couple of drawings outside in Covent Garden. This drawing is where buskers usually work. It’s dominated by the portico of the church – people have strutted, sold and performed in front of this portico since it was built by Inigo Jones in the early 17th century..
