Take a look, the discerning visitor of London – this is my second best place to take in the essence of Englishness in the midst of East London (first best is Dennis Severer’s House, sorry Geffrye Museum); quaint period interiors, the gardens and afternoon tea – all there and the good news – available to view for free most days of the year. Good to visit on a rainy day too – as per second photo of my easel hidden in the garden pergola.
