Une fois known as Venice of the East, with net work of canals of all sizes. I still remember the days when big trees lining most of the roads running parallel clean and lively canals. Shades are every where and the air was light. Still miss those days.
Canals are still around, however, and some are cleaner that others! My memory came back in a rush when I chanced upon the sight of this canal from a sky high multi-storey parking lots. Right in the city at Pantip Plaza, where you don’t leave the building without buying a desk top or lap top or two.
The two other canal side community are just as amazing and just some 20 minutes drive away from the very busy Central Lad Praow.
A much younger man approached while I was concentrating on the sketch. He initiated a light conversation, made some kind comment, it went on well. He said my sketch look good, and said he like drawing too but was too busy working. There’s something nice about doing sketching at location. I very often made a few friends while doing skethces.
