It was a damp and foggy morning in San Francisco. My hotel was at Fisherman’s Wharf, and the view from the window of Telegraph Hill was pretty amazing; I’ve drawn this area so many times, but today it looked like a Provencal hill town. I had wandered about the Wharf area before the tourists and the rain came in equal downpours, and eventually I settled underneath some shelter and drew a small fishing boat moored in the harbour.
