[Guest post by Greta Cencetti in Caffarena, Italy] Caffarena is a very small village in Appennino, in the Liguria countryside. When I lived there for many months, I carried my sketchbook with me all the time to try to understand the people and place. It is a magic place, with magic people. These are sketches of this wonderful period of my life. I studied dialect and structure of the country, in big and little things. The Caffarena houses have an ancient structure, natural materials, stone and wood. Everything, in fact, seemed out of time. Buildings, places, people, objects seemed suspended in time.
