アールデコ・ウィークエンド・イン・マイアミ
[By Thomas Thorspecken] アーバンスケッチャーズのオーランド支部とマイアミ支部が協力して、1月21日から14日まで、マイアミの第41回アールデコウィークエンドでスケッチクロールを開催しました。マイアミまでは長いドライブで、パム・シュワルツと私が到着した時には、スケッチャーたちはすでにビーチサイドのライフガード・ステーションのスケッチを終えていました。パムと私はビーチに降りて、海に足先を浸しました。数十人のアーティストの集まりが新しい場所に移動したとき、私たちもその中に加わりました。私は、エジソンホテルとブレークウォーターホテルをスケッチするために腰を下ろしました。オレンジと白のビンテージカーが [...] の前に停まっていました。

Nice to continue sharing my work and experiences, thanks for stopping by and commenting. January has been interesting, intense and recovery. A very different start to the year, with the taste of renewal. Not always the beginning of the year are usually like that, so I celebrate. Here, I share with you a sketch from the dock of the Hypo lox Yacht Club in Palm Beach. Beautiful site and refreshing. I had to run with my drawing because the rain came and I used non waterproof ink!

マイアミ、サウスビーチ
マイアミ・コンベンション・センターで開催される大規模な国際アートフェア、アート・バーゼル・マイアミ・ビーチで、一週間、The Art Newspaperの仕事をすることになった。日刊紙は深夜に発行されるため、毎晩オフィスに向かう前に、日中のサウスビーチで時間をつぶすことになるが、これはたいした苦労ではない。テキサスでは雪が降っても、南フロリダは20℃を超え、華氏80度以上である。
Black Friday – Miami
I did not head to the malls at 6AM like everyone else in the house. I was only convinced that I was missing a sketch opportunity late in the day by Margaret Nolan via facebook. I had already drawn The Miami Herald presses so I should have been satisfied. But when Terry and Elaine said they were going back for a second round of shopping, I decided to go.
