sketching the saharawi refugees

In January 2008, I spent 5 weeks in the Western sahara refugee camps at Tindouf in Algeria. I spent one week in each camp and I was drawing womens activities and work and how they contribute to the well functioning of these camps that have existed now for over 33 years. These people are still waiting for a referendum. In my first day in the camp of Layoun, I met all this children that we’re really happy to look and to let me draw them.
