26th Worldwide Sketch Crawl took place on February 27. The Los Angeles group had to figure out an indoor location because it was raining, and we decided to go to Los Angeles Central Library. I’d say it was a great choice!
There is a beautiful rotunda inside this library, and I struggled with getting the perspective and atmosphere down – I painted on the spot, and added some more watercolor washes later after the paper dried completely. I’m satisfied with how this sketch turned out, though for the rest of the day, I spent my time looking at exhibits and murals and chatting with fellow sketchers instead of drawing 🙂
