Teaching & Learning

The Manifesto embodies our values and guides all of our education activities. We  provide practicing and aspiring urban sketchers with the skills and knowledge to show the world, one sketch at a time, through arts instruction & education .

Urban Sketchers & Education

The Urban Sketchers Education Programs focus on activities that teach drawing skills, demonstrate techniques and supplies, and introduce sketchers to the social and historical aspects of urban sketching.

Lectures, demonstrations, and workshops facilitate knowledge sharing among sketchers, educators, authors, and artists.

Urban Sketchers Workshops are organized and taught by experienced urban sketching instructors.

If you’re interested in proposing a workshop, demonstration, lecture, or another educational activity, contact: education@urbansketchers.org to learn more about workshop guidelines & responsibilities.

Learn more here about the USk Reportage Grant Program and how to apply.

For Instructors

Arts instruction & education is fundamental to the Urban Sketchers mission. We believe the world is a better place when you’re sketching, learning from one another and connecting with others around the world.
