Everywhere you look in Dubai, you see construction. Construction and shopping malls— I’d be happy if I didn’t see another mall for a year or so. My time was rushed, so I only got away with a few sketches— most of which I didn’t like. The one above is of the apartment buildings being built on Palm Jumeirah— that palm tree-shaped man-made island in the Persian Gulf. This is in the tree “trunk.”
