Guggenheim Museum, New York

I had a few hours in the Solomon R Guggenheim Museum in New York during
my recent visit to the city. I liked the sculptures of John Chamberlain
more than I’d expected, but Frank Lloyd Wright’s building was what I
really came to visit.

I’m not sure how well the building fits in with its city environment, but people seem naturally at home viewing art in the museum, which is what made it a place I loved to draw. Does it overpower the art on display? Not from my viewpoint.

Greetings to Urban Sketchers in Santo Domingo! There are a lot of us wishing we were with you.
