Yesterday we met at Manchester City Art Gallery. Our first sketching session post radio interview and we had a fabulous turnout of over 30 people! Lots to draw and great to see such enthusiasm with urban sketching especially from new attendees. I braved the weather for the first hour outside. Too cold to add watercolour, will do another time. Then inside to draw in the central atrium…lots of brightly coloured Chinese decorations in the space (in celebration of Chinese New Year) added interest and an opportunity for me to paint in different colours. I hope all the new people who joined us enjoyed it…and hope to see them again at another event!
