一週間前、私は新村延世路にある現代デパートU-プレックスの前を通りかかった。こんな光景を目にした。何人かのエンジニアが「レッド・サブマリン」と名付けられた赤いオブジェに点滅するクリスマス・ライトを付けていた。潜望鏡の一部が道路に敷かれていた。そのうちの一人に、区役所からの発注かと尋ねた。と聞くと、「隣のヒュンダイの部署から、これからの季節の飾り付けを頼まれたんだ」とのこと。夜、点滅し始めたら、きれいでしょうね」。
