[by Javier de Blas in La Rioja, Spain] My cousin Carlos is a sweet and good man but he has a histrionic point. He likes to change his appearance. Now with his huge mustache he looks like a Kaiser from the beginning of the last century. I portrated him on my last trip to Madrid, with the balustrade of the Velázquez Palace in the background, to complete its intentional historicist look. Afterwards, at the reataurant, I took a picture of him to check if his profile was similar to theone on my sketch.
