The Day Before Symposium: instructors retreat is a treat

Symposium will start in one day and there is a lot of work behind the scene!

A new idea in the Symposium format: today instructors had the whole day to meet and share insights before teaching and meet all participants the next days. They discussed about the future of Urban Sketchers, of workshops and of all educational activities. The day was so well organized between collective brainstorming,  panels for smaller groups discussion, lunch, sketching challenges and even stretching breaks.

Late in the afternoon we reached our favorite place – on the road – where Mario Linhares proposed to sketch reflections, in theme with the exchange of  ideas on the Urban Sketchers association as seen reflected in our different instructors. Can the same spot be seen in a most diverse way? Just look at the size of their sketchbooks, and media and approach…

Among the fast sketches challenge proposed by Rob Sketcherman there was a swap of sketchbook. I was lucky enough to get a Peter Richard fast sketch in my sketchbook.
