The Portraits of ‘Sunday Seoul Sketchers’

“Sunday Seoul Sketchers” are people who gather in Seoul every Sunday. About 10 people met in Bukchon(North Village) at 8 a.m. last Sunday. Bukchon is a village with traditional Korean houses in the north of the old capital city.

It was so hot last summer and now it is a beautiful autumn. Even though it is a narrow alley, many tourists come. We ate brunch at a famous noodle restaurant nearby.

Then, we went to a nearby cafe Rosso, a famous Korean drama location with cute wooden sculptures. It is fun to talk about while drinking coffee. I drew the sketchers in front of me and beside me.

I think the core of Urban Sketch is to draw playfully. The process of drawing should be fun. The result of the sketch is the next problem. It is always fun to draw sketchers who draw with me. They sympathize a lot with my sketches. I could draw playfully that day with my sketching comrades.

P.S. I asked the sketchers for permission before posting these photos on the global Urban Sketch website, and then one of them asked me to mention that she is prettier in person than in the photo. ^^
