I’ve been a laggard lately, WRT sketching, so I was happy to see that I would be “forced” to go out and get busy on the 11th. Unusually for the Denver area, I was not solo on this, my fourth sketchcrawl. Two other folks agreed to meet in Denver’s Confluence Park, where the Platte river and Cherry Creek join waters. This area is a hotbed for new urban development. Many old buildings have been repurposed, while others have been torn down to make room for the new. It’s a mini-walking and -biking city of sorts.

It was a hot and muggy (for Denver) day, but we were able to get good open shade to work in. Loads of people were around, so great people sketching was available for those who are so inclined (not me :-)).

A recommendation for the USk crowd: I used my new Walkstool today. It is a very lightweight, collapsing/folding tripod stool available in multiple heights. It is very rugged and well-designed; much easier to carry than my other, lower-quality stool. It also easily holds my 1/8-ton mass. It has well-designed, wide feet that tend not to sink into grass, etc. I’m not a representative, just a happy user.
