Frankfurt airport

airplanefrankfurt

One of the things I enjoy the most about checking this blog and the flickr group is travelling vicariously through the sketches people post. The ones of airports and airplanes always make me want to go on a trip right away. I didn’t get on a plane until I was 21 and my fascination with transportation by air continues to this day.

I realized I hadn’t posted this sketch I did at the Frankfurt airport last month on my way to the sketching workshop in Jaca, Spain. That’s the Lufthansa plane I took to Barcelona. The pilot was already in the cockpit and his window was cranked open. I didn’t know those windows could open. The things you notice when you draw!
