My trip to Budapest

Back in October, I spent five days in Budapest. I had always dreamed of visiting this marvellous city, and finally found myself ticket in hand, boarding a plane. What a gorgeous city! Bridge after bridge over the snaking grey Danube, ornate building façades, yellowing trees shading wide avenues— I fell in love. I ended up coming home with over 200 photographs and loads to write about.

I was mostly drawn to people while sketching. Red-lipsticked old ladies enjoying pastries and coffee, old men congregating in their favourite pub laughing over beers, people reading books— oh— there are more bookstores in Budapest than I have ever seen in any city! I could definitely live quite happily there.

If you’d like to read about my trip and see some of the photographs I’ve taken, check out my blog Harika. My visit is documented in no less than eleven posts!
