#USkWeek2026: May 1 – Sketching Communities

Today is about the people we draw with.

A lot of us start sketching on our own. One person, one sketchbook, one moment of attention.

Then something changes. You sit next to someone. You join a sketchwalk. You share a table.

And slowly, it becomes something more.

You look up more. You talk. You notice different things. You keep coming back.

That’s how communities form, not all at once, but one drawing, one conversation at a time.

Today we’re celebrating those moments. The local groups, the regular meetups, the people who make space for others to join in.

The ones that make it easier to show up and draw.

Take part today
