A few pockets of farming life remain in the suburbs about 20 miles north of Seattle where I live. Taking advantage of the early spring-like weather we had last weekend, I went for a walk around the neighborhood with my family. My daughter brought a bag of carrots for the horses grazing in this enclosed pasture a few streets down from our house. Good times.
