sketchcrawl 27: san francisco

We met at the ferry building downtown in the morning. I drew around there for a while and then sketched in union square where we met again in the evening. You can see fellow urban sketcher Pete Scully in the 6th image, sketching with his watercolor kit. After the evening meetup a few of us wanted to keep sketching so we went to the bar at the top of the Marriott hotel where the foggy view of the city is spectacular but the mood lighting is so dim I could hardly see my page. That’s fellow urban sketcher Marc Holmes, also sketching in darkness, at the bottom of the 7th image. You can see the exterior of the Marriott and the scale of those radial windows here, from a previous sketchcrawl. The last image is from BART on the way home at the end of the day.
