The fish market in Abu Dhabi is not far from down town and very easy to reach. My european friends love to come on the weekend and buy fresh fish and cook later at home. It is a nice experience since you have a lot to choose. The place it is extreamly clean ,too. The market also offers a special service: people dressed in red suits clean and cut the fish for just a few Dhirams . So when you arrive home the fish is almost ready to cook.
