Paris – Cathedral Notre Dame

Paris – Cathedral Notre Dame, originally uploaded by Matthew-1.

Another sketch of Notre Dame Cathedral.
Given that Paris is where gothic architecture was born, I had to do a sketch of the great cathedral there.
It was my first visit to Paris. It struck me as large and cosmopolitan, but still clearly a European city of deep history and living modern culture.
I loved the unprecedented urban design quality, simply walking through the different neghbourhoods, the Pompidou centre, the best metro system I’ve ever experienced, and in fact the friendliness of the people I encountered.
It’s easy to see why so many want to live there at least for a few years.
Truly a great city.
